As experts in the industry, we often get questions from our clients that relate to myths about their carpets. These are often concerning about the quality of results and the time involved, so we wanted to tell you about a few and explain why they aren’t quite true.

Some Common carpet cleaning myths our team get asked regularly are:  will it take days to dry? Will my carpets get dirtier quicker? Will the carpets wear out from regular cleaning?

It’s easy to see why people think this. Carpet cleaning, when done by experts, involves the use of machines that do leave the carpet wet during and directly after the cleaning process. The key here is that a genuinely experienced company will use special tools. Their cleaning machinery isn’t available on the public market and they’re larger units that provide much more suction, vacuuming and drying power than an average household can access. When the job’s done right, your carpet will actually be dry and ready for use within a few hours of the job being done.

Many homeowners ask us about whether their carpets will get dirty again faster after being cleaned. This is not true, If the correct mixture of chemicals, machinery and expertise is used, they’ll do just fine. The danger of your carpets getting dirtier form regular cleaning can come from using the wrong tools for the job, which can damage the fibres of the carpet.

A legitimate company – like ours, dare we say! – will use the appropriate mixture of machinery and chemicals that treat your carpet carefully.
